Music with Ms. Davidson

Grades 2-5: We learned about James and John Johnson and how this song changed from a poem to a song. We listened to the song (verses 1 and 2) and sang along with verse 1. Find the song here. We talked about the importance of music and how people use music to influence how people feel and how music can unite people. It's easy to understand why this song is referred to as The Black National Anthem.
